Shawn Boggeman

Shawn currently serves as a full-time law enforcement officer with a North Idaho law enforcement agency. In addition to this, Shawn is a member of the agency’s SWAT team and serves as a member of their firearms training staff. Shawn previously served as an officer with the San Diego Police Department as a SWAT sniper and instructor. He currently holds several training certifications in Idaho and California to include general firearms, rifle (carbine), diversionary devices, breaching, and sniper operations.  

 Shawn has nearly 30 years of experience in several disciplines of competitive shooting that led him to several state, regional and world titles, and records. He continues to shoot large scale competitive shooting events locally and around the country to test his skills.  

 Before Shawn began his law enforcement career in 2014, he served as an aerospace CNC tool designer and machinist for over a decade. The precision and perfection required in this field played a significant role in his future shooting endeavors as a sniper and competitive shooter. Shawn’s technical background has proved to be a valuable asset he uses to maintain knowledge of advancements in the evolution of firearms.

Eric Breakie

Eric Breakie is a military veteran that served as a squad leader for a small boat unit in the U.S. Navy. After also serving as a TacMed and firearms instructor in the military, where he trained nearly 500 service members, he jumped into the civilian law enforcement profession where he has been for over 10 years. He has continued his TacMed and firearms training through his tenure in Law Enforcement and brings real-world experience to his instruction. He is currently assigned to a leadership role on both the SWAT Team and the Firearms Training Unit, as well as serving as a Sergeant for a North Idaho law enforcement agency. In all positions he holds, he brings valid, up-to-date instruction to those he trains.

Johann Schmitz

Johann Schmitz currently serves as a Patrol Lieutenant at a North Idaho law enforcement agency.  After a 5 year tenure as a member of the Department’s Firearms staff, he was elevated to the position of Range Master in 2020.  He now oversees a staff of 8 instructors and is responsible for the Department’s training regimen in addition to all firearms related equipment, etc.  Johann is a certified Idaho POST Master Firearms Instructor and frequently travels the State of Idaho providing training to instructors from various local, county and state agencies.  Johann travels and trains around the country in order to remain up to date on the most current tactics and skills relevant to overseeing a rigorous Law Enforcement firearms training program.  Prior to his Law Enforcement Career, Johann was employed in the private sector as a legal consultant specializing in litigation against city, county and state agencies.  As a result, he remains current and familiar with respect liability issues affecting government agencies and citizens alike.
