Introductory Handgun
This course is designed for the novice and beginning shooters. Instruction will focus on topics, including, but not limited to, handgun/carbine safety, basic handgun/carbine operation, fundamentals of safe handgun carry (open and concealed), matching handguns/carbines to shooters, understanding capabilities of various weapons platforms, etc. This course is split between classroom and range components and is typically accomplished in a day.
Requirements
Safe, functional handgun
200 rounds of ammunition (handloads strongly discouraged)
Holster designed for the handgun you’ll be brining that can be worn outside of the waistband and accessible given the clothing you’re wearing
At least one extra magazine
If possible, a magazine pouch that can be worn outside the waistband (you can use a pocket if you don’t have one)
Appropriate eye protection
Appropriate hearing protection
Appropriate attire for shooting outside
Appropriate footwear for a gravel range
