Introductory Rifle
This course is designed for the novice and beginning shooters. Instruction will focus on topics, including, but not limited to, handgun/carbine safety, basic handgun/carbine operation, fundamentals of safe handgun carry (open and concealed), matching handguns/carbines to shooters, understanding capabilities of various weapons platforms, etc. This course is split between classroom and range components and is typically accomplished in a day.
Requirements
Safe, functional rifle/carbine
200 rounds of ammunition (handloads strongly discouraged)
Sling properly affixed to rifle/carbine
At least one extra magazine
If possible, a magazine pouch that can be worn outside the waistband
Appropriate Eye Protection
Appropriate Hearing Protection
Appropriate Attire for shooting outside
Appropriate Footwear for a gravel range
